Why is my laptop automatically routing me to UK webaddresses?
My laptop was purchased in the USA and is currently still in the USA. However, there are several websites that when I type in the address I am automatically routed to the UK version of the site. How do I fix this? It's interfering with my ability to log into my savings account. Thanks!

You don't say which operating system but,for windows you need to go to control panel & then look in Region & make sure its pointing to the USA

is it worth to ship my laptop to the uk?
hello, i listed my laptop for sale for $800 dollars and there is a person who is willing to pay me $1000 to ship it to the uk via UPS internatinal priority mail.. is just wanted to know if is it worth the offer? or do you have any idea how much does it cost to ship the laptop? is about 10 pounds in everything! thanks! SORRY, I JUST NOTICED IS NOT UPS.. IT'S USPS EMS GLOBAL EXPRESS NTERNATIONAL PRIORITY MAIL SERVICE

Make sure (a) the person pays in full before the laptop leaves you (b) you pack it well - in line with UPS recommendations. I am in UK myself and we do have UPS here but DHL is way more common

Why not call USPS EMS Global Express and ask them. I often buy stuff from ebay, and I would love to buy stuff from the US, but the postal charges are enormous unfortunately, so i doubt if it would be cheap! Try reducing the price in the US, it may be better for you in the long run. I buy from China........things are cheap and they always arrive, no prob.

How long does it take for a Dell Laptop to arrive in the UK?
I want a Dell Laptop for my birthday and my parents want to know how long it takes to arrive (In the UK) and whether dell is good quality.

Dell is the best company in the world for me. I am 13 years old got one last Christmas (laptop) it works flawlessly and I always get loads and loads of bad luck , so I was very happy to see that there was no problems, delivery time is approx 1 week, it took just over 2 weeks for me because dell said they were on very high demand, but still in time for Christmas, you and your parents are making a huge mistake if you decide NOT to go with Dell.

It depends on the distance you live. Whether Dell arrives in good condition only after you unpack, install, and test it at home. Call the helpdesk support for clarification if problem arises.

Like all companies, they have good and bad. The important thing is how they resolve problems quickly and efficiently. The warentee and how it is accomplished. If you have to ship the computer and wait for repairs, this reduces the time you have with the computer and the warentee time. Do they compensate you for the lost time by extending the warentee period. And what about the time you do not have the computer. Are you going to have the system disk or is it already installed. If installed, how do you make a system disk or backup. Do you have phone support, live chat, or FAQs (frequently asked questions.). Do you get a manual or is it on disk. If the computer has problems, how can you access the manual or instructions. Do you need to make a printed copy (expensive in paper and ink - I know by experience) of the manual for emergencies. If they have instructions on the internet, does it include pictures. As far as a dell laptop, I have one and some limitations are their software only works on a dell (they may have changed as this caused them some problems). They have improved their warentee as past practices caused loss of a lot of customers. I had their extended warentee and had to ship my computer back to the factory for them to evaluate and repair. It returned repaired but I was out the computer use for an extended period of time and no extended warentee time. Local repair is better for time. Just things to think about. Most of the time, they work great, but when something happens, what are your options, and what does the warentee cover hope this helps falcon

What do I need to use my UK laptop in the USA?
Hi - I have a UK laptop with UK 3 pin plug. I'm going to the US next week and would like to take my laptop over, but wasn't sure what I need to power it. I can get a plug converter, 3 pin to 2 pin, but wasn't sure if I need a transformer or something as the voltage is different. Thanks!

you wont need a transformer as the voltage in USA is less than UK. (unless its a step-up transformer) Just a standard converter will work. I looked at my Laptop charger, its rated 100v - 240v and 50hz - 60hz. this will work in UK and USA.
