Answer 1 :
Yes, Dixons is legitimate. However, I wouldn't buy anything from them, they're the company who run PC World. As a UK resident if I wanted to buy something like that I would either buy from eBuyer or Overclockers. http://www.ebuyer.com/ http://overclockers.co.uk/ PC World/Dixons/Currys is for noobs with more money than sense. As you're in the US, why not consider somewhere like Newegg? http://www.newegg.com/
Answer 2 :
You would need a power adaptor as uk is 220/240 volts, the prices on the site are in pounds, you would have to pay dollors , if its £479 pounds that is around $799 .

Where can I buy a laptop from the UK here in the U.S.?

where can I buy a laptop from the UK here in the U.S.?
I'm going to college ("University") in London towards the end of next month, and I really don't want to buy the laptop when I get there, cause I'll be moving and adjusting and all that good stuff. And the laptop is the final thing I need. I was gonna get another mac but now I don't think so. Where can I buy a UK laptop? will they be able to ship it to the U.S.? I would have just used the one I have now, but they say it's not a good idea even with a converter, because it can cause a fire =/ really? thanks!

Answer 1 :
Who told you that it's not a good idea with a converter? That's garbage. The computer power adapter should be 120-240V autoswitching, which means the ONLY thing you need to change would be the plug. Heck, you don't even need a converter or a different power adapter, just the cable that goes from the plug to the power adapter.

I have unlimited internet plan on my 3G phone can I connect it to laptop? [UK]?
Can I utilise that 3G connection for browsing on PC? I am using T-Mobile UK. Nokia 5230

Answer 1 :
Which phone is it? Using the 3g connection on your PC is called tethering. Sometimes carriers charge more just for the ability to tether but there could be a way around it depending on what type of phone you have.
