Refurbished laptop insurance UK?
I have recently purchased a refurbished laptop from Dixons. I am looking for any insurance company to insure it with. Could you please enlist any insurance companies in UK which provide insurance cover for refurbished laptops. Thanks

I don't believe their are. Why waste your money on insuring it anyway? keep your money. With the prices of laptops, you can get one for under 250.

I do not think so?

Unless you're getting 3G broadband from cell towers, there's no such thing as a roaming license for computers.You might have trouble with region locked DVDs but that's about it. Also, make sure you have the right plug to charge it.

Shipping a laptop to the uk.
shipping a laptop to the uk?
i am in the usa. and am having a bit of trouble going about how to ship,deciding on what shipping company i should use. UPS..or USPS etc.. i plan on sending my girlfriend all the way in the UK a laptop.i want to really SUPRISE her this xmass season. meaning she shudnt knw about this. how do i go about packing and which is faster?? . i also wonder whether she will be asked to pay any taxes... i dont want her to pay 4 anything. i just want her to get it n shes all set~!. please help.what do i need to do.

you/she will have to pay vat plus import duty on it not worth doing plus the fact it will not be warranty cause it was made for the usa market, and the power supply is different. so buy one at home, it will work out cheaper in the long run

If I import/ship a laptop from america to the UK?
will it be region locked, restricting me from playing UK DVDs and Games? Or is it all up to the operating system? I can re-install it if necessary.

I think the dvd drive will be region locked but I am sure if you google "unlock dvd code" or something along that lines you will be able to unlock drive to multi region
