How to safely deliver a laptop from UK to Malaysia?
Hi, I have a Dell laptop and want to send it back to Malaysia, but the problem is, I don't have any box for my laptop. So my question is, which company will provide the box for my laptop, or where can I buy the box myself?

There are multiple places that sell boxes of varying sizes. However, the problem is not the box. The problem is the packing material you use inside the box. If you examined the sparse packing material the laptop manufacturers use, it seems like you might not need much... except the manufacturer use custom sized foam braces that immobilize a laptop in the center of a much larger box. So, find a UPS or FEDEX or the equivalent shipping company near you. They will sell boxes. They will even sell packing material. Here is what you want to do, for optimal security... Pack the laptop well in an appropriate-sized box. Seal that box. Make sure there is an address label on that box for your destination. Pack THAT box, into another larger box. Make sure you can fit packing material between the two boxes. Seal the box. Put another shipping label on this box. The one on the inner box is just in case the outer box is damaged. Ship.

Will an american laptop work in the uk?
Will an american laptop work in the uk?
I need a new laptop and I'm thinking of buying one in the US next time I'm there. I was wondering if I would experience any problems with using it in the UK. Will the wireless card work with my router and ISP? Are there any other problems I might experience? Thanks!

The only issue you should have is the power cord and power supply. You will need one that works on european power.

yea just get a charger plug that works in the uk since the voltage plugs are different

The power come to uk and buy a universal charger

Everything will work fine. The only problem that you will experience is the power outlet. Find a power outlet that will work for your laptop and take it with you back to the UK.

I will be shipping a laptop from singapore to uk. what kind of taxes do i need to pay uk customs?
i will be shipping a laptop from singapore to uk. what kind of taxes do i need to pay uk customs?
the laptop is used and old. i need to do so as i am relocating to the uk (already in it) and did not think i will need it at first. it's completely for personal use too. someone responded as long as it's old i don't need to pay duty. this includes vat? and how does customs know it is old?
