Is the region on a laptop to do with the DVD drive or the player?
I want to play Pokemon Region one on my UK Laptop with UK DVD Drive (USB Add-On). Do i need to USA DVD Drive or a USA Program? Any recommendations...

you need to order a Region One DVD drive in order to play said disc.

you can change the region on the drive by going to your drive then going to properties then go to hardware properties there should be a dvd region tab you can change the region there but just so you know you can only change it a few times then you will need to buy a new dvd player
