I'm buying a laptop from romania, will it work in the UK?
Does Romania have the same power mains as we do? I know i'll need an adapter but just wondering if the voltage is the same?

That sort of question is a good reason for not buying expensive equipment from unknown countries. Also what software will it have and will the keyboard be British standard? I know that Swedish keyboards are different, so Romanian ones may also be different. Be very sure of what you are buying before committing money. You may have to buy a whole new software suite that would negate any savings.
Answer 2 :
The adapter is most likely 110-240 volts, 25-60Hz, so it'll work just about anywhere there's mains power. But the operating system will most likely be Romanian (can you understand it?), and the keys will have different symbols.
Answer 3 :
Yes it will but you'll need a mains plug adapter. Both countries are 220V
